Background
The rural women in Tirupati are mostly migrants from nearby areas backed by illiteracy, poverty and lack of basic amenities. They were involved in odd activities with fluctuating incomes. Against this background, women have major responsibilities of maintaining their families. |

grass root levels and provide access to supportive services. |

Services
The programmes help women start small income-generation projects. Initially they learn basic manual skills, then the they learn more complex skills. Latter they work in groups and learn to sell thereby building their confidence. Training and employment opportunities are provided to them through creation of necessary infrastructure. |
