Mobile Medicare Unit

Aim
To provide basic essential medicare at the door steps of needy and underprivileged elderly. 

Objective
To offer older people in remote rural and urban slum areas access to free medical care by visiting them in their own communities. 

Services
PASS, therefore has established a Mobile Medicate Unit in 1994. With office at Pattoor Santhagate, Irala mandal, Chittoor District, A.P., to deliver preventive as well as curative medical services at the door step of the aged. The MMU of PASS consists of qualified & Trained doctor nurses and health worker and carriers with it basic diagnostic equipment and basic necessary medicines which will be supplied free of cost to the aged people of remote villages.

Impact
The programme covers 800 aged people to SC / ST and economically disadvantaged groups in 52 villages of Irala and Pakala mandals, Chittoor District, AP.
